Freshman White shuts out Brazoswood 28-0
The Pearland Freshman White squad continued their winning ways with a solid 28-0 win over Brazoswood to improve to 6-0 on the season.

Marty Lopez scored three touchdowns with two pass receptions and one interception for another score. Quarterback Matt "The Duke" Lejune guided the Pearland offense with two touchdown passes while Justin Wilson, Trey Laitkep, and Taylor Kennedy provided a strong ground attack.

The Pearland defensive unit played well, forcing two turnovers, scoring a touchdown and allowing only one first down the entire game. Anthony Rubin, Marty Lopez and Alex Chavez led the defense to another shutout.

The Oilers will host Clear Creek at The Rig on Thursday, October 27 at 4:30 p.m.
Freshman White blanks Stratford 32-0
The Freshman White defeated Spring Branch Stratford Spartans 32-0 at Tully Stadium.

Outstanding blocking by Matt Cruz and the rest of the offensive line allowed Matt LeJune, Trey Liatkep, and Andrew Paul and Tim Brown to score offensive touchdowns.

The defense played great allowing only two first downs during the game. The Oilers were ead by Josh Leal, Gabriel Vargas, Jorge Rivera and Ricky Hernandez on the defensive line and linebackers Alex Chavez and Anthony Rubin.

Pearland Freshman White trounces Victoria Memorial 40-0

The Pearland Freshman White football team blanked Victoria Memorial 40-0 in a dominating effort on both sides of the ball.
The offensive line provided huge holes allowing Taylor Kennedy to score two touchdowns while Trey Liatkep and Justin Wilson each scored once for the offense.
The defense didn't allow Victoria a first down while Chioke Burnett led the defense with two blocked punts and several stops behind the line of scrimmage. Gabriel Vargas, Jorge Rivera and Anthony Rubin were also cited for their outstanding play.
The defense also put points on the scoreboard as David Gonzalez and Shymir Ayers both scored defensive touchdowns.

Pearland Freshman White nips Memorial 7-6
The Pearland Freshman White football team edged Spring Branch Memorial 7-6 in a defensive struggle. The win couldn't have been achieved without great plays made by Josh Leal, Gabriel Vargas, Jorge Rivera and Ricky Hernandez on the defensive line. Linebackers Alex Chavez and Anthony Rubin played well while David Gonzalez was the standout with key stops which included a game-winning fumble recovery on the Mustangs one-yard line.

Matt Lejune punched the ball in for the touchdown on a quarterback keeper for the Oilers only score. This was a hard fought victory against some tough competition. The White team will face Victoria Memorial on Thursday, September 15 in Victoria at 5:00 p.m.

Take the business 59 exit in Victoria and go to Laurent Street. Take a left and proceed on Laurent street and go under the railroad tracks and the stadium should be on your left.


Pearland Freshman White storm past Elkins 44-6

The Pearland Freshman White team defeated Elkins 44-6. The offense moved the ball at will due to great blocking up front by the offensive line. Taylor Kennedy led the team in scoring with two touchdown runs while four other players each found the end zone. The defense played well allowing only five first downs, forced one interception and came up with a safety.

Pearland Freshman White nip Kempner 7-6

The Pearland Freshman White team won a close 7-6 game against Kempner. The only two scores of the game came on a 60-yard run for Pearland by Justin Wilson and an interception returned for a touchdown by Kempner just before halftime.

Chioke Burnett, Alex Chavez and Ryan Hepler led the defense that allowed only three first downs.

Pearland Freshman will travel to Elkins next week on Thursday, September 1 at 4:30 p.m.
