The 1950 Pearland Oilers (Class B) were the first to finish
the regular season with a perfect 10-0 mark. The Oilers
never had another perfect season until 2001, under head
coach Tony Heath, when Pearland finished at 13-1 to set
a new PHS record with the only blemish in the Class 5A Division
I state-semifinals. The Oilers added their third 10-0 perfect
regular season record in 2005 under coach Heath.
