Coach Lloyd C. Hawkins

Pearland's first coach was Lloyd C. Hawkins who came in 1937 with the opening of the brand new high school. Hawkins was the instigator of a strong six-man district and instilled a winning tradition. In later years, Hawkins was a City Councilman and Mayor of Pearland.
