JV White blanks Alvin 38-0
The Pearland White JV team won it's eighth game of the
year by defeating Alvin 38-0.
Scoring for the oilers included Nic Porche, Artavaia Franklin, Desmond
King, Nick Balderrena, and Travis Harrison. Tim Brown and Kyle Cross
each scored extra points.
The defense had another great game by giving up only one first down.
Thomas Beltran, Zach Garza, David Nava, and Camron Butcher were
leaders for the defense.
Ryan Hamil had two interceptions and Jeff Phillips also had a interception.
Joel Burton scored on a fumble recovery for the defense with a 40-yard
dash to the end zone.
The JV White team is now 8-1 on the season. The JV White Oilers
will be back in action on Thursday, November 8 against Clear Brook
in the final game of the season.
JV White tame Clear Creek 34-8
The JV White team continued their outstanding season by taming the
Wildcats of Clear Creek 34-8.
Nick Porche scored three touchdowns to help keep the White team
undefeated in district play.
Artavia Franklin and Travis Harrison also scored a touchdown apiece
for the Oilers.
The offensive line did a great job blocking for the running backs.
Boice Best, Anthony Zuniga, Robert Shelton, and Darius Mercer were
the offensive line standouts.
Travis Cook had a interception to lead the defense and Zach Everett
along with Ryan Hamil also turned in an outstanding performance.
The JV White team is now 7-1 on the season and will travel to Alvin
on Thursday, October 25 to take on the Yellowjackets.
