To accommodate
more fans, the shuttle service for Pearland Oiler varsity football
games is changing this year from Pearland’s First Baptist
Church to Glenda Dawson High School, 4717 Bailey Road.
The change will go into effect during the first home game against
Fort Bend Kempner on Friday, August 31, at 7:00 p.m.
Six school buses will begin shuttling Oiler fans to The Rig
from the DHS parking lot beginning at 6:00 p.m. - running as
long as needed.
At the end of the third quarter of the game, the buses will
begin shuttling fans back to their vehicles. The shuttle service
will continue until everyone has returned to his or her vehicle.
"The tradition of shuttling Pearland fans to football games
to avoid parking delays began through a partnership between
Pearland Independent School District and Pearland’s First
Baptist Church. With the shuttle relocation and the Bailey/Oiler
overpass completion, however, Oiler fans on the west side of
Pearland can now access games more easily via shuttle,"
Ed Farrington, Pearland ISD assistant athletic director, said.

ISD athletics office at 281-485-3203.
