for 68 yards with one run for 49 yards to set up a Pearland touchdown.
"Josh has really stepped up this year and been an outstanding
player for us," head coach Tony Heath said. "He still has
another season and will be a key returning player next year."

Gary Robertson had an outstanding performance
against Clear Brook with seven unassisted tackles, three assisted
stops, one tackle for a loss, and one caused fumble. He also blocked
his fifth extra point of the season that was returned for 2-points
by Nick Saenz. "Gary has had a phenomenal year for us,"
head coach Tony Heath said. "He has been a team leader all season."

Kasey
Carrier had 20 totes for 127 yards and two TDs in leading the Oilers
past Ball High 16-13. Carrier now has 1,209 yards for the season and
13 TDs. "Kasey turned in another good game for us," head
coach Tony Heath said. "He turned up his intensity when he scored
his second touchdown in the second half." |

Bruce Honore

Bruce
Honore had five solo stops, two assisted tackles, broke up one pass,
forced a quarterback hurry, and had one tackle for a loss. "Bruce
plays above his physical ability," head coach Tony Heath said.
"He is one of those rare players who exceeds his talent level.
His intensity and aggressiveness rubs off on the other players to
step up their level of play." |

Thomas graded out at 91 percent in the game against Alvin while recording
12 pancake blocks. The Texas A&M pledge helped the Oilers post
544 total yards and 29 first downs in the 48-7 Alvin win. "Brian
is the ultimate team player and leader," head coach Tony Heath
said. "He is the anchor of an outstanding offensive line that
has really battled in the trenches this year." |

Brogdan turned in an outstanding performance with five solo tackles,
four assisted stops, one caused fumble, and one quarterback hurry
in helping the Oilers to a 48-7 win over Alvin. "Jourdan had
a great effort against Alvin and he has become one of our defensive
leaders this season," head coach Tony Heath said. "He is
only a junior and he will only get better." |

Olford had three clutch catches for 53 yards in helping the Oilers
rally for a 20-14 win over Clear Creek to remain unbeaten in 24-5A
action. "Munda really came through with some key catches to help
us get the win against Creek," head coach Tony Heath said.

pledge Bernard Obi had five solo tackles, three assisted stops, one
sack, two tackles for loss, and two pass disruptions as the Oilers
defense dismantled the potent Clear Creek spread offense. "Bernard
had another outstanding game when we really needed it," said
head coach Tony Heath. "He just gets better as each week goes
by." |

in helping the Oilers beat Brazoswood 26-18. "Josh came up with
a big time performance for us," head coach Tony Heath said. "We
preach that big time players come up with big time plays in big time
games and Josh certainly did that." |

Nick Saenz

pledge Nick Saenz had one catch for a touchdown, returned a blocked
extra point 83 yards for two-points, and pulled down an interception
at the end of the game to preserve the Oilers' 26-18 win over previously
undefeated Brazoswood. "Nick proved once again why he is one
of the top defensive backs in the state," head coach Tony Heath
said. "He has the uncanny ability to be in the right place at
the right time." |

Brian Thomas turned in one of his best games this season in the 42-17
win over Clear Lake. The Texas A&M pledge opened holes for the
ground attack and provided strong pass protection. Thomas recored

Clear Lake in the trenches which made a big difference for us on offense,"
head coach Tony Heath said. |

Robertson had eight solo tackles, two assisted stops, and recovered
a fumble in the fourth quarter that broke the game open for the Oilers
in their 42-17 victory over Clear Lake. "Gary came up with a
strong effort against Clear Lake that helped our defense limit one
of strongest offenses in the Houston area," said head coach Tony
Heath. "Gary plays with a lot of intensity and his teammates
feed off his energy." |

line. "Gabe has been a consistent performer all season in the
trenches,"

strengthen our offensive front." |

a loss against La Marque. The UTEP pledge is one of the defensive
leaders for the Oilers. "Bernard had a great game against La
Marque," head coach Tony Heath said. "He has a great future

Allen hit 7-of-9 passing for 105 yards and two TDs. The junior signal-caller
also had five carries for 19 yards. "Sam has shown a lot of progress
over the past three weeks," head coach Tony Heath said. "He
is a hard worker and will only get better in leading our offense."

Sanders had four tackles, two pass breakups, and strong pass coverage
against Memorial. "Matt is one of our key players in the secondary,"
head coach Tony Heath said. "He has a lot of experience and gives

Kevin Miller had two catches for 76 yards with both grabs setting
up Pearland scores to spark the Oilers to a 26-0 shutout of Madison.
"Kevin has a great pair of hands and he came up with two game-breaking
catches for us when we really needed it against Madison," head
coach Tony Heath said. |

Honore was a key player for the Pearland defense that limited Madison
to only 100 yards of total offense in the 26-0 blanking of the Marlins.
Honore had two solo tackles, two assisted stops, one tackle for a
loss, and a quarterback sack. "Bruce really stepped up big against
Madison," head coach Tony Heath said. "He is one of our
emotional leaders on the field." |

Carrier opened his junior season with 196 yards on 28 carries for
one TD. The fleet-footed running back burned the Kempner Cougars for
a 60-yard scoring dash in the fourth quarter that gave the Oilers
their seventh straight season opening win 13-9. "Kasey did a
tremendous job and came through with some big plays," head coach
Tony Heath said. "Big time players make big time plays in big
time situations." |

Jarrad Stewart picked off a Kempner pass, followed outstanding blocking,
and scored on a dazzling 70-yard return. Stewart had two solo tackles,
five assisted stops, and the interception. "Jarrad has developed
into an outstanding defensive player," head coach Tony Heath
said. "He is one of the key players for us on that side of the
ball." |
