10 Sam Proctor Quarterback Sam Proctor made the first impact of the game against Clear Brook with his 58-yard scoring jaunt on the third play of the game. Proctor finished with six carries for 92 yards and one score. He also 5-of-6 passing for 75 yards and one TD. "Sam's touchdown at the very beginning of the game set the tone for the rest of the contest," head coach Tony Heath said. "He has been a strong leader by example all season for us." Gary Robertson Outside Linebacker Gary Robinson had two unassisted tackles, five assisted stops, one tackle for a loss, and four hurries on the quarterback. "Gary has really stepped up his game the past several weeks," head coach Tony Heath said. "He is becoming one of the real emotional leaders of the team that we need entering the playoffs."
         
9 Fozzy Whittaker Running Back Fozzy Whittaker rushed for 301 yards on 29 carries and one TD to lead the Oilers past Ball High 41-14. Whittaker leads the district in rushing with 1,564 yards while averagine 7.9 yards per carry. He is fourth in the Houston area in rushing. "Fozzy is peaking at the right time this season," head coach Tony Heath said. "He continues to amaze everyone who watches him. Matt Sanders Defensive Back Matt Sanders graded at 97 percent while registering one QB hurry, three assisted tackles, one unassisted tackle, and one tackle for a loss against Ball High. "Matt continues to step up his defensive effort," head coach Tony Heath said. "We needed a big time effort on defense and Matt gave us that effort."
         
8 Kasey Carrier Running Back Sophomore Kasey Carrier is the running back of the future for the Oilers. Carrier had five carries for 85 yards and two TDs against Alvin scoring on runs of 33 and 2 yards. "Kasey has had an outstanding season and is going to be another great running back for the Oilers," head coach Tony Heath said. Chris Bogs Linebacker Chris Bogs had five tackles with three tackles for losses. "Chris has been a consistent leader on defense all season," head coach Tony Heath said. "He brings a lot of energy and determination that other players feed off of during the game."

Fozzy Whittaker
Running Back
Fozzy Whittaker set a new PHS mark and Houston area record with 415 yards on 36 carries and four TDs in the win against Clear Creek. "You run out of adjectives when you try to describe Fozzy," head coach Tony Heath said. "I have seen some outstanding running backs at Pearland and Fozzy continues to carry that great tradition established by those who came before him." Matt Sanders
Defensive Back
Matt Sanders had six unassisted tackles, two assisted stops, one pass break-up, and one interception against Clear Creek. "Matt has been improving each week and he had an outstanding game against Creek," said head coach Tony Heath.

Karlton Johnson
Wide Receiver
Karlton Johnson is only 5'5" - but he has a lot bigger heart than his physical size. Johnson had five catches for 59 yards against Brazoswood. "Karlton is one of those inspirational players that gives everything he has when he is on the football field," head coach Tony Heath said. Deforester Jones
Defensive Tackle
Deforester Jones had numerous tackles including two tackles for losses against Brazoswood. "Deforester is one of those players that plays with a lot of grit and determination," head coach Tony Heath said. "He knows how to play when he is hurting and he is a team player."

David Maciel
Offensive Line
David Maciel battled in the trenches against a strong Clear Lake defense and was key to opening up holes for the Pearland ball carriers. "David had an outstanding game in one of the toughest places on the field," head coach Tony Heath said. "Clear Lake had an aggressive defense and David held his own throughout the game." Defensive Tackle
Andrew Hernandez took on a strong Clear Lake offensive line and responded with three solo tackles, two assisted stops and one tackle for a loss at the goal line. "Andrew has been a team leader on defense all season," said head coach Tony Heath.

Sam Proctor had 17 carries for 144 yards and one touchdown to lead the Oilers past La Marque 24-14. "Sam had several critical runs that provided us with the momentum to win this monumental game," head coach Tony Heath said. Nicholas Saenz
Defensive Back
Nic Saenz had three key interceptions against La Marque that helped the Oilers beat the No. 1 Class 4A team in the Houston area. Saenz was also named "Chronicle Player of the Week" for his outstanding performance. "Nic played an incredible game with some key plays," head coach Tony Heath said.

Casey Carrier Runningback

Sophomore running back Kacey Carrier scored on a 71-yard jaunt against Spring Branch Memorial late in the fourth quarter to help seal the 24-14 win for the Oilers. Carrier had 17 carries for 152 yards and one touchdown. "Kacey has proven he belongs on the varsity level," head coach Tony Heath said. "He has made some big time plays when we needed it the most." Ruben Lucas Defensive End Ruben Lucas had an outstanding game against Spring Branch Memorial with numerous tackles and pressure on the quarterback. "Ruben is one of those players that is all over the field," head coach Tony Heath said. "He gives 100 percent and is one of our team leaders."

Sam Proctor had an outstanding game with 25 carries for 184 yards and five TDs; 5-for-7 passing for 43 yards; and one pass reception for 12 yards. "Sam stepped up when we really needed it against a good Madison team," head coach Tony Heath said. "His all-around effort set the example for the rest of the team." Lance Hayes
Linebacker
Lance Hayes had one unassisted tackle, three assisted stops, and one pass interception at a key moment in the game against Madison. "Lance came up with much needed stop against Madison," head coach Tony Heath said. "His pass interception gave our offense the opportunity to tie up the game in the third quarter."

Fozzy Whittaker opened up the 2006 football campaign with 28 carries for 147 yards as Pearland defeated Fort Bend Kempner 19-6. "Fozzy had an outstanding game to help us get the win over Elkins," said head coach Tony Heath. Deforester Jones
Defensive Tackle
Deforester Jones wrecked havoc on the Kempner offense with three pass hurries, one tackle for a loss, and a tackle for a safety. "Deforester spent all night in the Kempner backfield," head coach Tony Heath said. "They tried to double team him most of the night, but he controlled his side of the defense."
